Many of our customers have been using our thinnest DragonPlate Carbon Fiber Laminate as a veneer. In order to provide the best carbon fiber laminate for this application, we developed a carbon fiber veneer with maximized flexibility while still maintaining the beautiful DragonPlate finish! Available in both plain weave and twill weave.

All DragonPlate gloss carbon fiber veneer sheets have a .005" thick epoxy gel-coat surface which results in a beautiful, deep, crystal clear finish with no voids or pinholes. This added surface also preserves the depth of the carbon fiber weave. Without this extra gel-coat, the carbon fibers would appear excessivly flattened and compressed, as is typically seen in lower quality carbon fiber sheets.

As a result of our thick epoxy surface coat, the DragonPlate carbon fiber veneer laminate measures a full .018" thick compared to other paper-thin (.010") veneers. DragonPlate carbon fiber veneer construction not only provides a richer, deeper, and more lustrious appearance, it also provides a veneer that feels smoother to the touch and can be easily applied.

DragonPlate offers our carbon fiber veneer sheets in full sizes (12", 18", 24" etc.). Many manufacturers cut their sheets undersized which can result in up to 20% less material.

DragonPlate Veneer is capable of forming to a cylindrical diameter as small as 1 inch! DragonPlate Carbon Fiber Veneer can be easily cut with shears or heavy scissors and can be sanded to produce a smooth edge. Unlike cheaper carbon fiber veneers, our veneers can be applied over any color without the background showing through.

Each carbon fiber sheet is available in standard gloss, scratch resistant matte, and texture finishes on one side, with a texture finish on the other side, creating an ideal bonding surface. Why settle for a simulated carbon fiber decal when you can now get the real thing!

SCRATCH RESISTANT MATTE FINISH!
Dragonplate veneer is available in a glossy finish and also a scratch resistant matte finish (see picture to left for comparison). Our carbon fiber veneers come ready to install with contact cement; or for quick and easy installation, we optionally offer a veneer with high quality 3M self adhesive backing, already affixed.
